Steve Morris Celebrant

Steve was fantastic throughout our whole handfasting ceremony and all the planning he put into the event in advance of the day itself. He is such a genuinely lovely person to work with, and was always happy to help with planning and details, accommodating last minute changes and generally putting us at ease when we were stressed about how to make the day work. We had always wanted something that was uniquely for us but hadn't attended a hand fasting ourselves, so Steve's knowledge and guidance were invaluable and we truly can't imagine a day so special with anyone but Steve leading it. He was so kind during all of our meetings and we were honoured he agreed to be our celebrant for the day. Some of our guests had been sceptical about the handfasting, but after the event everyone was on board and we had so many compliments on the ceremony and how lovely it was. We would wholeheartedly recommend Steve to anyone looking for something special for their day and the most lovely gentleman you've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Getting married is one of the most important moments in my life and of course I only plan to do it only once, so getting it right was paramount to me. We chose to have a celebrant led wedding ceremony to ensure we would have a unique and personal experience. We felt it was important that we had our wedding performed by someone who understood us as a couple. Someone with a bit of showmanship and personality. Steve Morris was our choice. He took the time to get to know our wishes and had heaps of flair to boot. He had the experience we felt necessary to be able to guide us through the preparations to wed, like help with vow writing and the ability perform the ceremony we wanted flawlessly. What he crafted for us reflected us both perfectly, consisting of a Greek crowning ceremony, a hand fasting and the exchange of vows and rings. Nothing we suggested was too much for him and he helped come up with ideas that fit our backgrounds too. Our friends and family all said it was a beautiful ceremony, my best friend actually asked me if she could hire him for her upcoming wedding too which is so exciting. My husband and I thought it was the perfect ceremony but it meant a lot to us our friends thought so too. We could not have had that experience without Steve, he was guiding us every step of the way, but equally he let us go off “script” when the moment swept us up. It felt completely perfect. If it is an excellent celebrant you seek then, in our opinion, Steve Morris is the person for the job!

Just attended a family funeral where Steve was the celebrant. What a wonderful experience! As a celebration of someone’s life it was very well judged and delivered. Steve’s delivery was empathetic and brought the whole congregation together in celebration on what could have been a very sad day. I would definitely recommend his services to anyone looking for a very personal and intimate service.

Whilst the overbearing theme of a funeral is naturally one of loss Steve made my father's ceremony a chance to celebrate his life and share our memories. He sensitively dealt with any issues as they arose during the planning and made sure the ceremony was not overly somber and instead gave us all the chance to release our emotions through laughter as we collectively reflected on the life. Leaving the ceremony it was gratifying to see so many people sharing memories that had been rekindled by the eulogy and coming together to say one final goodbye. The families abiding feelings towards Steve are those of immense gratitude as he made our lost members last call memorable for all the right reasons. As we still raise a glass to the departed we remember Steve's words and take comfort.

Steve presided over my handfasting a few years ago. He was a joy to work with , spent many hours making sure that we had exactly what we wanted. He was with us every step of the way through the planning and on more than one occasion was more than happy to move things around to accommodate changes. Add to that he is incredibly easy to talk to and an all round nice bloke. I can't recommend him enough.
