I really love this place and will be back again for a longer stay with a team of my folks who I will be recommending it to as well. |Staff is excellent. I interacted with the valet, evening check in, overnight front counter person, and rooftop breakfast staff. All were top notch and so friendly. I travel a ton and this visit made a mark on me. Thank you!|Planning on trying out the restaurant next time too because they were all telling me it's terrific. |Sheets were comfy, pillows were soft, room was extremely clean. Area looked safe. Parking right across the street or valet is available.

The hotel is gorgeous and the staff is top notch. The refined architecture, as well as the ambience of the hotel make it a wonderful experience. I recommend it. Special thanks to Jonathan and Seneca. These two gentleman took great care of myself and my family, and truly made me feel valued and appreciated the whole stay. Great hotel, great prices, 5/5.

I had the distinct pleasure of staying at the Virginian recently while attending a friends event. I got to experience the greatest hospitality service since I can remember. The staff that worked our event, made sure we experienced southern hospitality. We had a great time at Skyline, we decided to go back to breakfast there. We were not aware that the rooftop breakfast was separate than the restaurant. However, the morning crew with the most outgoing personable bald guy can not be matched anywhere else. We found ourselves having conversations with the staff and other tables all at the same time. It truly felt like a community breakfast. He helped his staff while maintaining other tables to ensure every table had the best experience. Our server took time to share with us her story of two jobs annd a passion for running. Olivia gave us highlights of Lynchburg. They truly give you the best in all four corners of the hotel. Only thing I wish I would have done was do valet. Everyone bragged about valet. I will definitely do it next time.

Beautiful, elegant art deco hotel with excellent and friendly service. Newly renovated. Reliable elevators. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Seneca and other valets were very helpful and generous. Great wine list. Starbucks is a bonus.

Comfy beds and pillows. Nice, classic style rooms with marble entry and bath. We asked for a quiet room and they gave it to us. No view, but we prioritized quiet over views. We arrived a few hours early, but they checked us in without delay.||We ate at the Rooftop Restaurant which has good views of the area. Outside seating closed due to possibly bad weather. Most tables were full on a Thursday night at 5:40. I ordered a side salad and Soft shelled crab sandwich. It was great. Even the fries were hard to put down. My husband had the pork rib eye in a bourbon glaze. He said if was the best he ever had. That came with a generous plate full of baby red potatoes, pearl onions, carrots and goat cheese. We both had a glass of California chardonnay, which was very nice, and although a bit pricey, it was a generous pour and more reasonable than many restaurants we have visited in the DC area whose wines were not as good. We shared a slice of the Key lime pie. It was very nice. |Great meal and great service from a knowledgeable waitress.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome — everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed to feel at home. It’s clear that the team here takes great pride in keeping the place in top shape. Our family really enjoyed the warm atmosphere and attention to detail. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant experience!

If, for whatever reason, you find yourself in Lynchburg, Va. and need a place to stay, I would highly recommend it. Classic downtown Hotel with all the amenities. Large rooms, clean, and I am a sucker for hotels with bath robes. Rooftop restaurant was top-notch. Parking is located across the street. Staff was super friendly.

What a wonderful stay!! Four ladies stayed just one night to celebrate a birthday by doing some shopping, eating, and drinking through the downtown area. The location is great and the hotel itself was absolutely perfect. Upon entering the room, we found a handwritten note wishing my friend a happy birthday along with several items from the gift shop (nuts, candy, and sparkling cider). The room was beautiful and spacious. The beds were comfortable with super soft sheets. The towels were bigger than beach towels and plush. We loved the lighted mirror at the vanity and the shower was very nice. From the valet to the front desk workers, service was perfect. The rooftop restaurant had a great atmosphere, delicious food and cocktails, good service and surprisingly reasonable prices. There was also a super cute coffee shop in the lobby. Overall it was a charming place to stay that appeared to be recently updated. I would love to come back another time.

We had a great experience staying here for a wedding. Truly a perfectly updated hotel with hard working staff that went above and beyond. Shout-out to the wedding planner Grace and her team. We loved the cafe, rooftop bar, and fitness center. The gentleman with glasses and light red hair working outside always asked me if I needed any help...a hard worker who deserves a raise as well as the banquet server with brown hair, glasses, and pearl earrings. We danced all night and she never let our water glasses get half empty.

My husband and I had breakfast at the "Rooftop Breakfast" on Oct 4th and it was wonderful! Our server, Elle, was very attentive and polite. The manager, Steven Everett, could not have been nicer. Cudos to the cook Brandon Thompson! It was perfect. We also met Chef Alan who was so kind and friendly. It was a great experience overall. Very nice place.

Love this place! Had breakfast at the Rooftop. Cozy and chic spot with the most beautiful views of the city. Everyone there is friendly and attentive. Our waitress Olivia went out of her way to make sure we had the best start to our day. Will be going back soon!

The Virginian Hotel was a dream destination for our 40th Anniversary of our family reunion. A huge thank you to Shelley Waldeck and Shelby Hutchinson who were so wonderful to work with to plan our event. The entire staff, from the ladies at the front desk to the bell hops were accommodating, extremely kind, professional, and showed great attention to detail. I enjoyed meeting the general manager, Mr. Tomko. Johnathan was also extremely helpful our entire stay/event. “Please let us know whatever else you need” was a standard mantra the entire weekend. The hotel, itself, was beautifully adorned, had beautiful charm, and had a staff to match. Forever grateful for a perfect weekend for our family.
