Candlewood Suites Tyler by IHG

We were planning on staying 7 days there. We cancel and were told we had to pay for one night. That was fine of course. Well we got charged for 7 days and we went to get our money back and the manager argued with my husband about their policy of canceling. My husband had to show her the email that stated the policy on it. We stayed in Frisco for a long time and had to cancel and they knew their policy on paying for one night if you cancel to late. So I think the manager at the Tyler one needs to learn their policy instead of stealing people's money. RESPONSE: Obviously you don't follow your policy , or you would have only charged us for one night as stated on my husband's email.

I can't say enough positive things about how HELPFUL Shannon the Manager is. When I called for information, she was positive, thorough, and kind. This establishment offers EVERYTHING that is needed for a comfortable extended stay, including being in close proximity to a paved walking path! BONUS! Dealing with highly competent professionals like Shannon is a pleasure. Thank you.

Newly renovated, this hotel had lots of value for its budget price! Clean, comfortable, spacious room and bathroom. PLUS it had a refrigerator with an ice maker! And it also had a small kitchenette, dishes, etc. The desk area was large as well. We would definitely stay here again. ||No morning breakfast but we recommend the Collin Street Bakery in Lindale. (See my review)||24 hour fresh coffee available.||A special shout out to Jasmine and Pam, gracious staff members, who recommended Stanley’s BBQ.

The Staff were amazing especially after a long drive from Florida! They made me feel safe and welcomed to Texas. The room was cleaned very well and the beds comfortable! I am a big snacker so the cupboard was amazing with great snacks. 10/10 Would recommend coming to this Hotel I enjoy my stay!

Don’t stay here. Starting off we booked with a third party (booking.com) apparently it booked us for a “handy cap room” so they made us switch rooms which was $50 extra that we had to pay up front. $100 deposit. Manager tells my mom (she went to pick up keys for us and it was booked in her name) she’s going to take the $50 off and not charge us for it. Great. So we only had to put the $100 deposit which she said we would get back when we leave. We get to the room and instantly my kids find men’s boxers on the shelf. Were there them away thinking maybe they just missed it. I then go take a shower where I find black hair in the tub. I was the tub my self and get in. I get out and notice it’s also by the sink. Again I clean it. There was makeup on my pillow. Which was flipped over with another pillow on top of it. I’m not a complainer so we just took the pillow and put it away. We then leave. My mom calls to complain about the hotel being dirty and to ask why she only received $45 back and the lady doesn’t even acknowledge the room being nasty. Then gives her a big run around on the money. First stating it was on the third party company we used to pay. Then changing her story to “oh I didn’t mean that I was gonna take the $50 off. I meant I was gonna take it out of your deposit.” The math isn’t even adding up for that scenario. Fact of the matter is they intended on screwing us over. They knew what they were doing. I will never stay at this hotel again. I ended up paying over $300 for a 1 star room. I didn’t think to get pictures of anything else but here’s the pillow.

The staff was super friendly at a late-night check-in. Very clean rooms. Only thing was we were moving in a 26' truck with a trailer creating a bit of difficulty getting a place to park. My only option was to utilize about 6 spaces.

I just came for a quick stop over. I pre-paid yet it seemed like they had no information on me. I had to give them all of my contact info again. Check in took about 20 minutes. They told me they didn’t have the king room I book but they would give me one with two beds and acted like they were doing me a favor by not charging me for the extra bed.||One reason to book candlewood is you can do your laundry for free. Well they only have two machines and the quickest cycle you can get it 77 minutes. Heavy soil is 2 hours on one of their machines. I waited from 7:30 to 9:45am for a machine. ||It was clear my cycle was going to take my past the 11am check-in they want. I asked to get it extended to noon which is what is on the door in the room. I was told they could not do that. They said the signs in the room are from the old hotel. They really need to get those changed out of they are going to enforce an 11am check out. ||I couldn’t get hot water out of the shower at night but I could in the morning. Coffee machine ran out of beans and wasn’t replenished. The room key you had to dip 3-5 times for it to work. I didn’t sleep well because I could hear the elevator in my room. It’s a 2-2.5 star hotel.
