Great park for a dog walk, opposite shellness beach so the pooch can have a paddle after. Great trails, very open spaces with a little children's play area included. Cafe and toilets within walking distance of the park. Can get very busy if the football club are playing and at the height of summer but we have always been able to find parking either in one of the car parks or in the marked bays (parking is free). Would recommend a visit.

This is the jewel in Leysdown's crown. To sit by the sea, enjoy the weather - whether the sun is shining or the rain is pelting down with the sea crashing the sea wall - and realise how lucky you are to visit such a beautiful place. Unfortunately most people haven't been lucky enough to discover this gem. So please, let's not tell them, and then we can enjoy the sea in solitude! Oh, and you must see the statue of The Short Brothers near Muswell Manor at the far end of the park. The brothers got the contract to build the first Wright Flyers for the American Wright Brothers in 1910 and this beautiful statue celebrates that. Ps. The statues is made of resin, so do not try stealing it!
