Joe was a pleasure from the first time we spoke over the phone. We had the whole back area to ourselves on the creek. Would be a great place for a group. Late Aug so a little buggy but it’s the smokies be prepared. Fairly priced and a free bundle of wood is a small gesture but a very nice touch.

This is one of the best private campgrounds I've experienced. The grounds are quiet and the facilities are beautifully maintained. The host was friendly and helpful, and even lent a hand to repair our broken tent pole. We hope to be back and bring the kids next time.

Amazing place and owner. Highly recommend to anyone that loves camping in the mountains on a creek. Joe gave us firewood upon arrival and even helped us patch broken tent poles. He has lived on this land his whole life and his care shows. Planning a return later this year.

Very well kept up campground with free ice and firewood. A great place for kids to play in the creek and explore

We LOVED this place!! This is one of the best "Mom and Pop" campgrounds that we have ever stayed at. The grounds were very well maintained, clean and the owner was very hospitable. The campsites were quite large and we had more than enough room to spread out. We were in site #20 right along the creek, it was nice falling asleep to the sound of the water. ||The campground had a couple good sized ponds for swimming and fishing but unfortunately we had no time for that. We chose this campground because of its' proximity to Bryson City. (We came only to ride the Great Smoky Mtn Railroad.) The campground felt very safe and we didn't feel the need to take all of our electronics with us like you have to when staying in the touristy places. ||The dump station was easily accesses and clean. The bathrooms were quite a surprise---VERY clean, no rust or mold. You don't usually find that at "Mom and Pops". The campsite had a large trash can so we didn't have to go trekking around in the dark looking for the dumpster. There was a nice fire ring at the campsite and a nice gravel pad for the camper. They will give you a free bundle of firewood for every day you stay. How cool is that!? ||We will be doing a Nantahala rafting trip in the future and will definitely stay here again.

This was our first camping trip since purchasing our toy hauler. It was close to home and a great location for our first trip. We drove up the weekend before scouting campgrounds in the area and met Joe, the owner. He was very helpful and the interaction with him made us feel this was the right choice for our first trip. Upon arrival we had a bit of a mishap making the turn a little too close. Joe and a long term stay, David, were more than helpful. They went way above and beyond helping us get out of the tight spot until we were able to get to our site. We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful weekend. The Wi-Fi was basic but we knew this going in. Not only did he tell us but the website is also very clear about this. We actually enjoyed spending time listening to music and enjoying the creek. Our site was just a few short feet from the creek and the sound of the water was more peaceful than you can imagine. You can be certain that we will be back many times. Highly recommend this for location, peacefulness, and great customer service. Thanks Joe (and David).

This is a quiet, family-friendly campground that is maintained in immaculate condition. Check-in was easy with friendly service, and they offer complimentary ice and firewood. The tent campsite was well-marked and included clean and drinkable running water, a fire pit with grill, picnic bench, and trash can with plenty of room for parking and the tent. We liked that the campsites are spacious enough where you do not feel like you are packed in with the other guests. The restrooms were extremely clean and well-stocked, and the showers had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The women's restroom had a baby changing table as well as a large sink reserved for baby baths. The grounds included access to fishing/swimming ponds as well as a small playground for kids. The owners were friendly, polite, and informative-you can tell that they take great pride in their campground! It was an excellent camping experience and we will definitely stay again if we are ever in the area!

Small, quiet place. My husband came here when he was young, so we decided to bring our boys. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Our boys found some nice kids to play with and we felt safe letting them explore, swim, etc. We stayed at site 27. Right across from the fishing pond and beside the creek. We didn't bring our camper. This time we brought our tent, and the creek was so nice to listen to. We will definitely be back as soon as we can. ❤️
