My friend purchased an iPhone 17 Pro Max from this store about two weeks ago and she the model just arrive the day before yesterday, and she went back to the store today to get it activated. This was her first iPhone device, so she needed a bit of help setting it up. When she arrived around 11:00 AM, the store wasn’t busy at all. A stuff came around and offered very warm help. Then my friend started downloading some apps while sitting inside, and that's when a young blonde female staff member approached her and asked if she needed anything else. She said no, but she immediately told her to leave if she wasn’t going to ask for anything else. Her tone was dismissive, and it made her feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, especially after just purchasing an expensive phone. Things only got worse when my friend got up to browse for phone cases. The same staff member came over holding a case and asked if it was her. My friend told her it wasn’t, and she had just picked it up from the display. Instead of offering a new, sealed case, she simply put it back on the shelf and walked away without saying anything. There was no explanation, no help offered, just a cold, dismissive attitude. She is still crying even now. This experience was really disappointing. I'm an apple fan myself and I’ve bought Apple products in many places around the world before, and I’ve always received great service. But today, at Eldon Square, it felt like my friend was being treated like a nuisance instead of a customer. Given that my friend is Asian, I can’t help but wonder if racial bias played a role in the poor treatment she received. I really hope Apple looks into this situation, reviews the staff’s behavior, and takes the necessary steps to ensure better service in the future.

I had a fantastic experience at the Apple Store recently, all thanks to an amazing team member named Micheal. From the moment I walked in, he was professional, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. Customer service like this is rare, and Micheal absolutely deserves recognition for the way he handled everything. If you ever need help at the Apple Store, I highly recommend asking for Micheal – he’s incredible!

Don’t trust them to buy any screen protectors because they said it has warranty and you can replace it through the company but they won’t, mine was broken and I emailed a few times but they said we wouldn’t replace it.

Staff were helpful but not great, I went in to buy a power bank for my watch and phone and came out with a charging station. So had to go all the way back the next working day to get a refund, I was hoping to use it at the GNR but couldn’t fine a socket in a field. The refund was very quick and the two techie’s knew my issue straight away.

After speaking to the store via telephone a few days ago I was informed it would be £85 to replace the battery in my iPhone. They asked if I wanted to book an appointment but I didn’t know my availability at that time. Went online and booked an appointment for 1.50 today. Turned up and after waiting was told they would take my phone and do diagnostics on it but it would be much later in the day as they were busy. I explained I had booked for a battery replacement and that I had an appointment.They said that no they couldn’t do that. I would have to wait. After a conversation with the assistant, Michael and also the senior manager, Richard, I was told that they couldn’t replace the battery and that i would have to wait as they were very busy. The manager said it would take much longer than an hour to replace it even once it had been diagnosed. I explained this was what had been said to me on the phone. I also asked why I had been allowed to book an appointment when it could not be honoured. After going round in circles I left the store. Terrible staff attitude and I won’t go back to that store. I travelled into the city centre especially for this so was obviously upset that my day had been wasted.

Very disappointed with the service I received today. I was given an appointment to resolve a problem with my ear plugs I was given an appointment which I had to wait over an hour for after which I was told nothing could be done e as I had had my ear plugs over the warranty . Surely could have told me this immediately not kept me waiting for an appointment. Surely the Apple products should last longer than warranty and if they do stop working a repair should be offered at an affordable price rather than just being told you need to buy again! Very disappointing! Helen
