This Marriott was NOT! at worth staying at. Over half of the hotel was in stone kind of remodeling and many hallways and rooms looked like a construction site. Our room was old and Not very well taken care of. The carpets were dirty, the lamp shades were taped together and there was spider webs on some of them. It liked like an old road motel 6. I was Very Disappointed with this place. Had no choice to stay for the night cuz I was traveling through. Not at all Marriott level hotel. No heads up on sure that it was under renovation! 0 stars for this one.

If you can avoid this hotel please do. My first room I got upon check in was INFESTED with ants, they were all burrowed in the carpet and there was no way I could handle the issue on my own because they were everywhere. My second room has earwigs in the shower/bathroom area. My final room, which I ended up just dealing with for the night because I was exhausted at this point, had no visible bugs but one you pulled the curtains to see the “balcony” the door cracks were filled with little bugs (pictures attached to this review). The shower was also extremely disgusting. Most courtyard Marriott’s I have stayed at (and I travel for work so I have been to a lot of hotels) are very nice but this one was the worst marriott property I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was nice with switching my room but it gets to a point where the property clearly has issues. My coworker who I was traveling with also had flying ants in his room so it wasn’t just my bad luck. On a different topic than room cleanliness, I know Lansing is not the safest area but I had a person who attempted to mug me(I believe?) in the parking lot of this hotel. Do yourself a favor and stay 3 minutes away at the Hyatt House in university area or the AC Marriott hotel, trust me you will thank yourself for paying the extra $10 a night.

Great example of a Courtyard hotel. Service was spot on and quick to fix my door card issue. Bistro food was as I expect from Courtyard and the room was acceptable. Slightly dark in the sink area and outlets were very loose. I appreciated the well lit parking lot for parking my company vehicle and trailer. Would stay again.

The most anti-guest layout ever experienced. |Single elevator for entire complex of rooms, located 1/4 - 1/2 mile from the farthest room. Elevator next to Room 272 room assigned 202. Trek is along hallways that are repeated turns and indirect.|Hotel has a no outside alcohol policy, sells at inflated prices. Sells in bottles with non-twist off caps with no bottle opener in rooms.|Refrigerator unplugged with outlets behind immovable furniture. Heating turned up and excessive when entering the room.|Staff is fine and pleasant. Overall clean but a dark atmosphere.|Very much not a place for repeat visits.

This stay by far was one of my worst Courtyard stays to memory. First, I was placed on the first floor by the exit door (due to the sold-out status). I have to accept, right? It's not their fault that I feel unsafe on the 1st floor. Then, there is a crack in the ceiling of the shower and the bathtub needed to resurface. I went to Old Navy for flip-flops because it just looked like a place where I didn't want my bare feet to touch (but maybe it's just me). All this to say, a renovation is needed.

Pool wasn't open which normally isn't an issue but this is the 3rd Marriott we've been to in the past 2 weeks whose pool hasn't been open. Front desk associate was on her phone instead of assisting people and the tv didn't have any streaming options. Lots of construction going on and the hotel is just dirty. I would never stay here again.

This hotel is in need of updating. The shower ceiling had a major leak in it but I didn't see it until I actually needed to take a shower. I'm surprised the cleaning staff didn't see it. Had I paid the gouging prices they charge during a MSU event, I would have been really upset but this was off-gouging pricing. Marriott needs to step it up. The Marriott properties in the Lansing area are mostly older and need attention.

Room felt like a motel 6 room. Stained carpet and blackout. Bath tub was dirty. Towels did not feel fresh. Very unpleasant experience. The courtyard in Okemos is way better.
