HUŎ Belsize Village

Went here today. It has just opened two weeks ago. Super friendly staff, delicious food and great relaxed ambiance. I was looking for a place that was special for a birthday, and this place definitely feels special. Also nice that it was not loud inside.

We called quite late on a Saturday night and getting a table was a bit tricky, but the team managed to fit us in — and I’m so glad they did! The dining room is lovely, warm, and inviting. The standout dish for me was the daikon cakes — the texture was so interesting and the flavours were absolutely phenomenal. The aromatic crispy duck was excellent too, and the Thai green curry was rich and perfectly balanced. The Singaporean vermicelli noodles were the only thing that didn’t quite hit the same high mark, but everything else more than made up for it. Overall, a great dining experience with excellent food and service — I’ll definitely be back!

A polished new Chinese in Belsize Village that finally gives NW3 a dependable spot for Cantonese favourites. We walked in on a busy Sunday and were seated quickly; service throughout was warm and efficient. Highlights: perfect “seaweed,” a generous quarter duck with thin, supple pancakes, delicately steamed sea bass with ginger & spring onion, fiery morning glory and exemplary egg noodles. A complimentary glass of bubbly was a lovely touch. Classic dishes, confidently cooked, in a room that hums. 5/5.

We were lucky enough to be the inaugural private party at HUO in Belsize Village and it was beyond expectations. (We booked the room downstairs for a 15th birthday dinner: not the easiest of audiences.) Chris took care of everything, from music to drinks to making sure everyone got exactly what they needed. The food was fantastic of course: plenty of options, all delicious. HUO is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and we can’t wait to go back. Thank you!!

A superlative dining experience! The food was delectable, fresh, with ample portions. Light tasting; no heavy oils. The seating is comfortable, with an airy decor that matches the cuisine. And while the staff were bustling to serve a restaurant filled to capacity, they were at all times warm and attentive. Can highly recommend.

We had a fantastic meal! Food was phenomenal and there was so much on the menu to try. Shoutout to our waiter Fabian who was very attentive and the manager who is also a sommelier. Atmosphere also great, especially given that it was a Monday.
