We started with Nimbus 2 years ago and loved working with them; however, since the takeover/buyout, the service has gone downhill. The Support team are useless, doesn't respond to any urgent or non-urgent issues. We will be moving our services to a new provider, as we can not recommend this company - steer clear of this company at all costs.

Nimbus once set the standard for excellent service and customer support. Unfortunately, our recent experience as an agency has been extremely disappointing. Last week, we were informed that we have less than a month to migrate all client servers — of which we have many — due to an internal change at Nimbus. This unexpected requirement will cost us thousands of pounds to implement, alongside the considerable inconvenience of once again obtaining and updating clients’ DNS records. Nimbus has refused to carry out the migration on our behalf or offer any form of compensation, leaving us with only a few weeks to manage the process ourselves. As a direct result, we will not be placing any further clients with Nimbus. Adding to this frustration, I have been promised access to their referral scheme for nearly a year, yet nothing has materialised. This failure to deliver removes any incentive to continue working with them. I am unsure what has changed within the company, but based on our recent experience, I can no longer recommend Nimbus and will be moving away from them.

Painful is one word to describe Nimbus. After such a positive chat when we stumbled across them, I can't quite believe how bad the whole experience has been. We decided to only move a handful of clients to test the water and im thankful that we did. Promise of check ins and a direct contacts all evaporated soon after we migrated the clients. We've had support tickets left unassigned for 24 hours, I've got one currently that I opened on 26th of August it was assigned a day later to someone and then i found it unassigned once again today. No reply, not even a holding message. The dashboard doesn't work properly, we've had constant caching issues, the server resource boost i've tried to activate five times now and it does nothing even when scheduled i just find it not applied the next day. We've been forced to move to a 'better server' with a fairly short timeframe to do it in, being proactive we migrated and found that it soon fell over at the first sign of traffic, no one seemingly cared about the sites falling over even though I'd asked a fair few times if Nimbus could just check over the migrated sites for me. Which shouldn't be too much to ask seeing as I migrated them my self. No one answered for a long old time and i had to mitigate the issues myself. I had a bit of a moan on a support ticket and had a phone call from the very person who onboarded us. He explained that the team were overwhelmed and they were drafting in support from World Host Group (who quietly acquired Nimbus this year) and that they would apply credit to our account, but would also send me some contacts for direct communication for any future issues. Can't see any credit yet, support tickets still not answered and the contacts haven't been sent over, in fact the one email i do have now bounces back as no doubt the emails have all changed to hosting.com. Yes, I could pick up the phone and probably talk to someone quicker. But we're a multi service agency with lots of clients, time isn't something we have much of and as an 'agency partner' they should know that a support ticket should be answered within 24 hours at least?! Bad experience, and ill be honest I can see Nimbus being absorbed into the World Host Group hosting dot com website sooner rather than later. They are a nice bunch and i get they may well be overwhelmed at the moment but now being part of such a big family of hosting operators i'm surprised at how bad things have got and it seems im not the only one to bang this drum.

Since Tim at Nimbus Hosting sold out, the new owners are terrible. Poor and slow support from pretty much the day they bought the company. Our website has been down all day and we can't do anything about it. The people running Nimbus are a complete joke and a disgrace to the hosting industry. I now can't wait to leave Nimbus Hosting after being a customer for 10 years.

Disappointing Decline Since World Host Group Acquisition I'm incredibly disappointed with the drastic decline in service from Nimbus Hosting since its acquisition by World Host Group. Previously, Nimbus was a fantastic company with an ethos that perfectly aligned with our own, offering efficient and supportive service that was truly exceptional. However, since the takeover, it's been like a light switch. We've experienced two instances of server downtime lasting for hours, severely impacting our business and, by extension, our reputation with our onward clients. Communication during these critical outages has been terrible, with no clear explanations offered for the cause. This is yet another regrettable example of a larger company obliterating a fantastic, smaller enterprise. It serves as a stark message to business owners: consider the legacy and the impact on your customers before simply selling out. The quality and reliability that once defined Nimbus Hosting have, sadly, been completely lost overnight.

I was a customer of Nimbus for around 15 years and at the end I was paying £176 per month for a self-managed Windows 2012 server, with no out-of-hours support. When they recently announced another price increase, I looked around and realised I was being massively overcharged. They are charging almost eight times more than what far better providers are offering today. I asked them to explain what exactly I was paying for because I thought maybe I was missing something. I was told my account manager would get in touch. It's been four weeks now and no contact from my "account manager". There has been a huge decline in customer service, it used to be a friendly, supportive business, it's now the opposite. A few years ago my SSL certificate expired so I paid £48 through their website to renew it - but because it was the weekend I realised I wasn't going to get support until Monday. So with my website effectively down I had to learn how to buy and install one myself. I did it (it cost me £16) and so a few hours after my order with Nimbus I cancelled it and asked for a refund. On the Monday they told me it wasn't possible to give me a refund for the certificate, which they didn't have to buy or install, because "It’s in our terms and conditions". I pointed out that I'd been a customer for over a decade, they let me down when I needed their support, perhaps they could bend their own rules? But no - and the customer support person seemed to enjoy telling me I wasn’t "getting my way." I really wanted to change hosting providers after this but I assumed it would be more hassle than it's worth and I had no idea at the time how much I was being overcharged by them. But I only wish I had done. It's taken me a weekend to change providers, it was so simple and I could have saved around £5000 if I had done this then. On a three year contract I'm now paying £25 per month for a UK based Windows 2025 Server, 5x more disk space and 24/7 support. Nimbus won't care about this review, I notice they've stopped replying to them, but hopefully if I can save someone a lot of money and hassle.

we been asked to migrate to the new servers in 2 weeks. the new servers do not give us root access as we had in the old servers you cannot speak to anyone technical. The service has gone down the pan. We will have to make them pass for our losses.
