The Relais Henley

Helpful staff. Comfortable clean room with tea and coffee facilities. Beautiful bathroom with all the trimmings. Good breakfast hot and cold food. . The hotel is in the centre of town close to transport. I had a very enjoyable stay for 3 nights bed and breakfast

This hotel is lovely, sited in the middle of the lovely small town of Henley. We stayed two nights and the staff were fabulous. Special thanks to Daniella and Sahara for looking after us so well. The hotel room was large, with load of hangers in the wardrobe, great bedside tables and a super comfy armchair. The bathroom was clean and large, with lots of surfaces for us to unpack our toiletries to. Henley itself is great. We strolled up the street from the hotel

Just fabulous. Great hotel, great staff, great food. Had a lovely room in the courtyard. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice. Dinner on both nights was delicious. Special thank you to Patrick, really nice guy, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Really enjoyed our stay. We will be returning.

A little challenging to find, but worth the effort! Location is indeed perfect, right on the water, walk to everywhere . Great restaurants and shops everywhere. Rooms were large and well equipped. Nice showers and linens- amazing air conditioning, but the best part was the heated tiles in the bathroom floor. The bar and restaurant were delicious - outside "oasis" patio was beautiful for relaxing and gathering with friends. The history of the hotel is impressive - cannot wait to come back!

Staff were excellent Breakfast & Dinner superb but the room was very disappointing and not value for money.we had chosen a premium room with a river view, the river view was a very, very tiny dorma window only viewed if your were 6 foot. There was a beam across the access for one side of bed so we had to leave the bathroom light on all night in order not to crack your head.The TV was to the side of bed so impossible to watch this was not a premium room with a river view

Sorry guys a little late but this is another dinner apart of the series! Today we had a team dinner at the hotel! They were great accompanimeny such a large crew of people. They sat us in a private room and the food was delicious. Surprisingly the steak was very good even though they had to occumpine for many I heard comments like “this is the best steak I’ve ever had”. And for the hotel it was very nice and in walking distance of the rowing races. Overall had a great time stay tuned for tonight’s dinner 👀

Dropped in for a light lunch in the pleasant courtyard of this smart hotel which incorporates the Dominic Chapman restaurant. Ended up having three delicious courses. Excellent food, nice wine and friendly service. The lady in charge, Sam, very kindly showed me around this beautifully refurbished hotel and told me some of its history. I look forward to making a return visit soon.

I’m just reviewing the afternoon tea. We didn’t stay at the hotel. The best word to describe afternoon tea is unloved. We should have listened to the other reviews of afternoon tea and stayed away. The food was basic and plain. The scones and cake were dry and overcooked. The food didn’t have the pretty or fancy touches that I’d hope with an afternoon tea (e.g. in a cheap supermarket cupcake case, lumps of friands). There were no refills of tea or sandwiches. The service was inattentive and the servers looked bored and disinterested. We weren’t offered the champagne/prosecco option. The crockery was chipped. The table hadn't been wiped as there was crumbs, salt and pepper, and mug rings on the table when we sat down. The music didn't feel right to set the tone either - it was lounge/elevator music on speakers, but we would have loved classic or jazz on speakers, a even a live musician on a sunny weekend afternoon. It cost £118 for three people which I think is overpriced for what you receive. Afternoon tea is so popular and offered in so many places so I wouldn't bother with this one again.
