Phyllis Court Club

We met some family here for lunch on a beautiful sunny September day. They chose the venue, so we really did not know what to expect. The Orangery dining area is very light and airy, with a view towards the Thames, which is where we partook of our lunch. ||The food was excellent although the service did not quite match it. |We were never kept waiting, but following our starters the table was not completely cleared. This mean that when our mains arrived, the uncleared side plates caused a bit of a 'traffic jam'. We were offered a selection of either sparkling or still water for the table, which was appreciated. However, these bottles were not labelled, had nothing else that I could see to differentiate them, and were both left open. This meant that the sparkling one went 'flat' and also that when we were topping-up our glasses, we were unsure which one was which. I chose the 'Welsh Rarebit' for dessert - excellent in every way and very much appreciated - but was given a spoon to eat it with. Toast with a spoon? ||To sum up - a lovely venue, and with a little polishing would be 5-stars all round.

Fantastic 2 night break in this beautiful, relaxing Hotel. Staff were wonderful, location idyllic and only a short walk away from Henley town. The food was excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the Henley area.

We went for an open day. Viewing the facilities which include a gym, swimming pool, croquet lawn, restaurants - it’s a fabulous setting in the river. The open day gives you a chance to see what you can have for a yearly membership. You can also book the venue for weddings and/or parties . It’s a beautiful venue

I've visited this place on multiple occasions for drinks and nibbles, thanks to my partner's family. The events you organise are fantastic, always creating lovely memories and ensuring a great time. The view is absolutely stunning. I'm giving 4.5⭐ stars instead of 5 because I feel the interior could use some modern updates.

So lucky to have spent a few days in what I can say is the perfect place for a complete break, staff are so helpful and go the extra mile, room’s spacious and comfortable, breakfast outstanding and plenty of choice just the perfect place, grounds are expertly kept and great river views, just a remarkable place if you want a bit of luxury you deserve this is the place and near enough for all local shops and bars

A great place. Excellent rooms/lounges/bars/restaurants and amble space to sit and enjoy the environment. There are plenty of well-known drinks at the bar, and excellent food choice and service. Amenities and all facilities are there for everyone's convenience
