Horam Manor Country Park

Liked: The size of the campsite, the surrounding trees and hedges give this campsite an appealing 'outdoorsy' pleasant atmosphere. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Facilities were good, kept clean enough for a campsite. The set up of the showers/ toilets is very convenient, with spacious shower cubicles separate from the private cubicles for those who would rather dry wash. The shower cubicles have a separate area for drying and dressing. The hot water was consistently available allowing for adjustment to one's preferred temperature for a shower. Our group enjoyed every shower. The washing up area provides enough space for dishwashing for a number of campers at a time. The pitch size was generous, enough for privacy balanced with opportunities for interaction with neighbours. In addition to local walks, if fancying driving, there is the nearby Arlington Reservoir for a scenic walk and a bird sanctuary there, with a dedicated bird hide. Additionally, only 30mins drive to the start of the Seven Sisters cliff walk from Eastbourne and Eastbourne sea side.

Liked: We have stayed at Horam before and returned last week where we were greeted by friendly staff. We stayed on the top field on the grass pitches and the size of the pitch was fantastic. The shower block was clean and tidy. I used the laundry room as well which was value for money. We had a lovely week away as a family and will definitely be returning.

Liked: The site was well cared for, the pitches of generous size and the staff were wonderful. Attention to detail such as posters in common areas with details of local walks, takeaways etc. was a nice touch. The facilities were well thought out and clean. Disliked: It would seem we had the one pitch that the wasps loved as we seemed to be the only ones being hunted down by them, despite all efforts to keep food/drink outside to a minimum! The traffic on the main road alongside the campsite was very noisy at night so definitely bring a good set of earplugs

Liked: This is a lovely campsite. The washrooms were clean and had very good showers. We had two pitches next to each other which were a lovely big size so plenty of room around us. When I had so questions before arriving, they were very quick to respond. 100% recommend this site.

Liked: Amazing place, staff superb. Had borrowed a friend’s camper van (again) as my boys love it. The staff, the facilities, faultless. The staff seem so genuine and happy to help. The lady that checked us in was so friendly and then a guy came round in the evening to check how everyone is doing and if they needed anything. Customer service absolutely top notch. Unfortunately we were only there for one night but would absolutely love to stay longer, next time. Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful Disliked: A very tired site. With 25 units on the lower section, 2 loos and 2 showers per sex was not enough. We went in the off season but in the busy summer season the queues would be horendous. Also a very poor motorhome service point. Very difficult access to the waste water drain, and it was on a slope. Not ideal at all.

Liked: The staff are so friendly and are always there to help. The site is clean and all the facilities are clean. There is a small play area on the site which is lovely for the children to all meet up and play. There is also a local park and a few local shops near by if needed. An ice cream van and food vans come onto the site which is nice if you don't fancy cooking breakfast or dinner. There is lovely walks around Horam fishing lakes as well as Lakeside café.

Liked: The site was kept very clean & tidy the staff were very helpful and checked that we were OK every day, Top marks for them. The pitches we had were level and well spaced out & the facilities were kept clean at all times. Disliked: Not a lot to dislike here the only comment I have they could have had more WC & Showers, if the site was full I think there could have been a bit of a wait to use the facilities.
