Check-in: Surprise parking fee of $17 per car even though the lot wasn't full. We were given no information about breakfast or fitness center. My friend who booked it had been here once but we still weren't sure about weekday meals and I was new. Room: We promptly tried to make it cooler and set the thermostat to 60. It had no AC function, only high fan so we actually brought our own fan in to help. It was finally getting cooler at 9am. As someone who keeps their house at 76, I can tell you it wasnt below 70 in our room. There were no full width blackout curtains so our sleep was disrupted by the sun. Bathroom: The water pressure in the shower left much to be desired. The water quality was nice though and didn't leave you with that scummy feel. There was no fan in the bathroom. Fitness Center: 4 treadmills is nice for a hotel and it had ellipticals, 2 bikes, dumbells, kettlebells, and mats. The AC was not on so I was very sweaty from simply walking. It wasn't the worst experience but I certainly wouldn't recommend. Breakfast: Weekday- $21 plus tax per person buffet (not worth it!) $200 for 2 queens before add-ons for a sub-par one-night stay.

Rooms were clean and adequately supplied. Staff at the front desk were polite and amicable. Breakfast was decent and good food despite there being very few guests to encourage lack of importance on this. Again, the staff was pleasant. The only downside was the $40 charge to access a room early(to change after the flight into business attire). The hotel was not full (at all). And it was only a couple of hours. They had a later than normal check-in times which left a person on a 1day business trip little options. But, for returning to this customer office I would stay again.

I’ll start by saying I would stay here again. It was a nice hotel. I really loved the pool, it was so warm and had deep areas inside and outside for good swimming. Our suite was on the top floor and had a good layout. Things that were mid, I wish the bathrooms in the suites were a little larger and a larger refrigerator would have been nice. There was a nice balcony but it was not accessible. Now for the cons, our check in was at 4 and we waited in the lobby for 2 hours for our room to be ready. They were at full capacity and were calling peoples names as soon as the rooms were cleaned. After two hours I finally went to speak to them and they handed me my room key which makes me wonder why they never called my name if my room was ready. How long did I sit there when I could have been in my room already? The only other issue was our room facing the interstate, the road noise was pretty loud and I’m a light sleeper.

Enjoyed the stay. Reservation was for two weeks. Here for company. Felt safe. Good location. Rooms were nice. Took do not disturb off door over the weekend and didn’t get service but no issue with that. Everything in the room felt clean. Looked clean. Stormed on last day and the power did go out. But lights flickered for a second and I guess backup generator kicked in. No downtime which was a plus. Bar and restaurant inside. Anytime I personally come to the ATL, I’m staying here.

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Every staff member that I met/ ran into was very welcoming and friendly. The bartender Ms Kim was such a friendly and warm person who made me feel special. She greeted me and talked to me like I was her daughter, making me feel warm and included, and made the best drinks that would make me want to keep coming back, especially when combined with the food prepared by Chef Mike. Chef Mike was friendly and made the best food, especially with him being so attentive to dietary needs.

I recently stayed at the Sonesta and booked my stay via Priceline. When I arrived the setup I requested was not directly available. I needed a handicap accessible room and shower with double beds which is what I booked. The front desk attempted to do what they could arrange something comparable to what I requested. However in the rooms they arranged the were multiple problems with the bathroom. Water in one regular shower was backing up in the tub, as soon as you turn the water on. My family who needed a walk in shower had similar problems with water backing up immediately after turn the water on. I asked to maintenance to come to fix the issue, and it was still never fixed as it should have been. A frustrating experience. I do not recommend this place.

Check in process was a NIGHTMARE this past weekend. I understand wait times when places are busy but you can get checked in at Disney World or a hotel on the Las Vegas strip on an holiday weekend easier than you can check in here. It was so chaotic and disorganized. We arrived at 4:00 and waited over two hours for a room to be ready with no updates along the way. The staff was less than accommodating and not friendly in the slightest. Not even a simple I’m sorry for your wait. Just a smug attitude and a swift request for payment, that she didn’t even tell me the total of. The room itself was clean and fine. The check in process and rude staff are an absolute no go though. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this particular hotel if those are the types of protocols they follow on a busy weekend. At the least, a discount should have been offered as no one at the hotel this weekend received the full stay they paid for. Save your money and pick another hotel chain.

I would caution you about making reservations with this particular hotel. I decided to do the prepay option so that I didn't have to worry about any fees when I arrived to the hotel. They didn't take the money until the day of my arrival. It resulted in a duplicate transaction. Then additional fees were added on the day of my arrival which were not mentioned online. The transaction was resolved the next day. Several days after leaving the hotel I was expecting to receive a reimbursement of my incidental fee ($50 per day) and there was another duplicate charge of the hotel fee. When I contacted them on why they would charge me twice again they claimed that I made two reservations and one of them was a no show. I have to work with my bank to get that transaction removed. I would stress caution if you decide them for a hotel stay especially if you are on a tight budget. This has been the most stressful circumstances I have encountered in a long time. I do not wish this on anyone.
