Faversham Recreation Ground

I walk in Faversham Recreation Ground most days. It's a wonderful local amenity. There is a super takeaway coffee shop, HutHuts, if you want a break and great facilities for all ages including a mini skateboard park, a well equipped children's play area and outdoor exercise facilities. I never visit here without feeling the benefit of the fresh air and the walking !

Well maintained, with a good variety of play equipment for kids of ranging ages. All securely fenced. Plenty of area for activities on the green and a nice cafe to enjoy a refreshment or snack. Toilets are available, yet these are usually in need of attention for cleanliness and standards, yet sadly as to be expected for a public park. Free car parking on site, for 4 hours which gives plenty of time to enjoy a walk, play or weather permitting picnic!

Great place to go for a stroll with the dog or take the kids to play. Playground facilities have been updated and are fabulous. There is now an outdoor gym and they are continuing to re-build the old rugby club house and changing rooms to make this place a definite 5 star facility for the community. I have only given 4 stars because the builders are still working on it.

A very good play area split into two age groups. One for the younger kids and one for the older ones. Both have some benches in for a break while the kids play. There’s a nice coffee shop on site and huge playing fields so good for the frequent local visits but also when visiting for the day too. There’s some parking by the gym area but also roadside parking too.

Large open space, Pleanty of benches. Working toilets. If you need anything their is a mini coop just accross the road. 5 minute walk to the shops

Lovely large grass area with a good surrounding path (apparently 1 mile all the way around). Nice kids play grounds and football pitches. Also a good coffee shop in the corner by the children's play areas.

Never too crouded, great rides in the play park, tennis courts and Lawn Bowls clubs. BMX ramps, in the news money has been awarded to improve facilities and build a performance area.

Beautiful public space. Great for dog walking, taking the kids for a kick about and mixing between the trees, looking for the wildlife. Squirrels a plenty! It has a fantastic cafe located at the back of the rec on the left, play parks for differing ages of children. A tennis club with plenty of courts and a bowls club with very favourable yearly membership prices. If you fancy a pint then there is the Market Inn on the corner. The fayre comes 3 maybe 4 times a year which brings fun and certainly frolics!
