The Emsworth B&B Hotel (formerly Jingles)

Lovely B&B just a bit out of Emsworth (between Emsworth and Westbourne) in a very easily-located, fairly residential area on a busy-ish road but the road noise is barely discernible. |Clearly redecorated recently in fairly dark colours (which does make it seem a little small on first impression) - although very elegant - and outstandingly clean. Full marks to the cleaning staff - the hotel is immaculate. The rooms are cosy - we stayed in single rooms but had a peak into doubles (which were adequately sized, beautifully and elegantly furnished) - and the singles were small but very well-designed with a large desk, a comprehensive hanging rail and drawers. The bathrooms were brand new and beautiful. The shower compression was excellent. The beds were very comfortable with cosy comforters. Attention to detail was evident everywhere.|The staff are all lovely and welcoming.|The breakfasts are out of this world. Everything is cooked to order - from traditional “full English”, to American style (pancakes / waffles with maple syrup), to continental - fresh croissants and pastries right through to Millennial smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs - all delivered by smiling and attentive waitresses who can’t do enough to help. |Parking is a large area directly outside of the hotel. |When we stayed, we were experiencing exceptionally hot weather. Rooms on the second floor were at the point of being unbearable and prob around 38-40degs C. It was necessary to have a fan and the window open to reduce this temperature to below 30degs but obviously the weather is not the hotel’s fault. Should climate change continue in this fashion, the hotel may have to invest in some air-conditioning - which would obviously mean their room rates, which are currently very reasonable, would have to increase quite significantly to cover the cost. |Outside of dramatic weather, this hotel comes highly recommended by us - it really is a little gem. To walk to the centre took us half an hour but it is a quick drive both into the centre of lovely Emsworth and into the surrounding glorious countryside.

The welcome I received was lovely.i was given all the information I requested . Nothing was to much of a bother. My room was spotless. Plenty of tea & coffee. |I can’t praise the amazing staff that work in the restaurant. It was extremely hot & they coped very well. The breakfast was very varied. I’m gluten free & it was wonderful that nothing was an issue. Very accommodating. ||Please can you get the staff air conditioning though it was very hot for me.||Karen Harrison

We have just come back from three nights at the Emsworth Hotel. We had a good time the location was perfect. And hotel spotlessly clean. We found all the staff friendly and helpful and with a smile. We had breakfast all three mornings it was very good and excellent quality products. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with flowers and art work. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. And was excellent value.

We wish to thank Paul and his team of wonderful staff for their kindness and their support extended to ourselves, family and friends. The hotel is a beautiful, comfortable and relaxed place with it's own unique charm. We used the Garden Room, which was a fitting and gorgeous location in which to celebrate our daughter's life. The location, decor, food and staff have exceeded our expectations. Thank you Paul. X

We loved this hotel, the location was perfect for us. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room had everything we needed for our three day stay.The breakfast was amazing quality products and cooked perfectly. Thank you.

Just had a perfect one night stay at The Emsworth. The staff are very welcoming and incredibly helpful. Our room was very clean, well equipped and comfortable, lots of tea and coffee provided. ||We were staying with friends who we hadn’t seen for a while, when we returned we were offered a nightcap and sat in the lounge area which was very nice and very considerate of the lady on reception. ||The breakfast is exceptional, freshly cooked and so many options, very tasty, had a great latte too. ||All in all, great value and great stay, I would highly recommend The Emsworth and would stay again in a heartbeat.

We needed a room for an overnight stay on a golf trip. The staff are friendly, the rooms clean, water hot, beds comfortable and the breakfast excellent. Thank you to the owner for finding a valuable item and posting it back to me promptly. If I’m back in the area I’ll be staying at the Emsworth.

Smart hotel, very good value for money.|Great choice and quality breakfast. Owner was very friendly. room very clean good sized flat screen TV. Plenty of parking. Would certainly stay again if in the area.
