KRCS Apple Store Derby

my phone randomly turned off and wouldnt turn on, the people that were in there said they checked my phone port and my sim card and approved it was water damage, i have a water resistant phone and they never gave me a diagnostic, i thought this was odd as i had never put my phone in water or exposed it to any water other than a little bit of rain, they told me my phone was a brick and theres nothing they can do and that id need a whole unit change which would be £900 and that i may aswell get a new phone, they also told me my warranty has ended when it ended on 1st of December 2025 i had only had the phone 10 months. I emailed apple about the phone and they got me to send it to them and it turned out to be a broken main disk in my phone, no water damage at all, they have now fixed my phone and it is coming today. please be careful when taking your phone there as it may add a ridiculous expense on that is not needed, it was an issue that could've been sorted, clearly they couldn't be bothered.

My son’s phone was maliciously damaged whilst at work which obviously caused him upset and inconvenience. We thought it required a new housing so booked it in here for a 9:40am Saturday appointment (a week in advance). The pleasant chap in the shop agreed it did need a new housing but said they didn’t have any and suggested we went to Apple in Leicester. So despite advising them what we thought the issue was, they literally did nothing. Why didn’t they phone or email us? A complete waste of time and car parking money. Ended up driving to Leicester and spending a very long day there whilst we waited for the phone to be repaired (more car parking and petrol expense), that could’ve been much shorter if we’d simply booked an early appointment there from the outset. I’ve no idea why KRCS Derby exists? It is also worth pointing out to the uninitiated to come prepared with formal I.D. and make sure your phone is backed up before bringing in for repair. KRCS and Apple fail to mention this.

Found KRCS via the support link on the Apple website. Used KRCS as they are an approved Apple repairer and it meant I didn’t have to drive to Nottingham for a repair. Took my phone in for 9am today to have a battery replacement. They ran a few checks, confirmed everything was good to go, and asked me to return in 1.5 hours. I paid £95, came back just under 90 minutes later, and my phone was ready and in perfect working order, with a new 100% capacity battery. Signed to say I’d received my phone back, and that was it. Quick, polite, efficient and trustworthy. Would 100% recommend.

All staff in this shop are very helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Nathan who helped me and my husband with the purchase of our new phones. He was very professional and helpful. He has excellent customer service skills and is a credit to the KRCS Apple in Derby. I highly recommend this shop if you are looking purchase any Apple products.

I was served by Lewis who was excellent and very knowledgeable he helped me with choosing a new iPad as my old one wasn’t holding charge he explained what to chose from and how much I would pay he told me I needed a new plug as my old one wouldn’t fit and then asked if I wanted him to download all my apps and data for a small charge extra which I thought was good value and much quicker than me doing it at home so definitely recommend KCRS as they are so helpful

I had liquid spill on my Mac-book air and took it for repair. Thankfully I had AppleCare+, because almost all the parts needed to be changed, got an almost new laptop back. Service was swift and prompt. Highly recommend!

I am extremely disappointed with the service at KRCS Apple Store Derby 😡. I visited the store with my daughter because her iPhone screen suddenly turned white and became completely unusable. The staff ran diagnostics and told us it was a software issue, reassuring us that the device would be replaced under Apple’s policy. However, after leaving the store and contacting Apple directly, we were told that no replacement would be issued because the same serial number appeared as already serviced! When I called KRCS again for clarification, they suddenly changed their story, saying the entire unit would need to be repaired instead of replaced. This was completely different from what we were told in person. Such contradictory and misleading information from an authorised Apple service provider is unacceptable. I wasted time, effort, and trust dealing with this store. Very poor communication, lack of honesty, and zero accountability. Totally unsatisfactory experience! 😡

Chap missed an opportunity to sell me the dual charger I asked for to go with my new ipad. Belkin I had seen on line was out of stock but on my way out I saw a number of great alternatives. I also enquired about a 2m charge cable. He told me to get one off Amazon! I was a hands-up customer ready to buy accessories from the shop I was in. He was clearly not on commission. Disappointed. I pad is great though.
