The Tally Ho Inn

Lovely little find service prompt we had the beef sharing board for Sunday lunch and we couldn't fault it. Dogs welcome which is always a bonus and also a Sunday lunch on the menu for them to. The outside area was very clean and plenty seats and great views definitely worth a ride out.

Had a delicious 3 course meal today and were thoroughly impressed by the Sunday Roast. The standouts being the perfectly cooked local meats and the creamy cauliflower cheese! Couldn’t fault it. We also found ourselves impressed with the wide selection of local gins and beers etc. The perfect Sunday Roast in a cosy, country pub!

Saw this place on Google maps while in the Area and decided to call in for Sunday lunch. The place is in such a great location and some of the other food pictures looked good. Bar staff was great and helpful as we didn't book, but then.... Sadly the Sunday lunch was very poor and over priced. Ordered the sharing platter, meat came out on plates, and not sharing platter, sent back and got the sharing platter, 2 plates brought out, one dirty, had to send that back. Slow cooked pork very dry, beef chewy, gravy was a thick and tasted of greasy, 2 bits of broccoli, couple of slices of carrot, bit of cabbage and a few peas. Roast potatoes wasn't that good. The only good thing about it was the size of the Yorkshire puddings, but the flavour wasn't there for them. The pictures show what a sharing platter for 2 people had on it. Definitely wouldn't recommend the Sunday lunch here.

Probably the best pub in Shropshire. Excellent in all respects. The team really made me feel welcomed. I love great pubs, and this pub delivers a really friendly, traditional pub atmosphere, a perfect pint, and a superb kitchen. I stayed in the area and ate and drank there 3 days consecutively because it would have been silly to go anywhere else. Just eaten a great meal, the chef clearly takes exceptional pride in their work, and the whole pub is at the highest standard while remaining relaxed. Can't sum it up adequately here, see for yourself!

Met up with friends for lunch, as this lovely pub was halfway between, another reason was the online menu showed several vegetarian options. (Our friends are vegetarian). So we were initially disappointed to read there were only small plate vegetarian options available. We were about to ask if they had anything else when the waitress came and offered us 3 very different veggie choices. All our food was well presented and absolutely delicious. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The cost was very reasonable for a 2 course meal with drinks and coffee.

Fantastic little pub, had the welsh rarebit and a couple pints after walking brown clee. Really friendly staff, great food and beer.

Fantastic Sunday Lunch. Everything about the Tally Ho is superb. Fish was cooked to perfection. Front of house staff very attentive and organised, a real treat!

A beautiful, rural pub. We sat outside under a beautiful tree and enjoyed the views of farms and countryside. We ate hame, eggs, chips and fish and chips - all delicious. Freshly cooked chips and good service were particularly enjoyed. Good selection of low alcohol beer.
