Delicious Sunday lunch, had roast beef which was perfectly cooked and surrounded by some really flavourful veg. Rounded off with a generous wedge of lemon meringue that was as good as my mum makes (she makes it really well!) Great layout, decor and service. Easy to recommend.

We popped in for a bite to eat and ended up having a full meal. The menu choices were great. I had sea bass. Cooked to perfection on a bed of crushed new potatoes with lemon and parsley butter. Delicious and very reasonably priced.

Just had Sunday lunch there. Cannot fault it at all… both the beef and turkey plates were amazing. Plenty of vegetables, all extremely well cooked. Roast potatoes were as good as home cooked ones. One of the best roast meals I’ve eaten in a pub/restaurant. Even had gooseberry crumble, something of a rarity. Will return when in the area 10/10.

Can't comment on the accommodation as I've never stayed here but the food is great. Traditional pub food will sizable portions. Their Sunday roast is fantastic. Reasonably priced for the quality of food. Nice staff too. It also has a lovely outdoor seating area and garden.

We have been coming for a couple of years and it never fails to disappoint. The front of house staff are always friendly and the service is fabulous but most of all we come back for the food. I hope the chef and kitchen staff get the feed back because we have never been disappointed with the food, amazing ! Thank you x

A group of 16 of us visited your establishment last night, ordering in groups of four (two adults and two children). My wife’s and children’s meals arrived, but mine never did. When I spoke to staff, I was told my order had been entered incorrectly and given to another table. At no point was I offered either a refund or a replacement. Instead, a friend paid for another meal for me after being told my original payment had not gone through — a statement which was entirely false, as I had proof the payment had been taken. This meant my meal was effectively paid for twice. When I complained, the only response I received was, “You can’t bring children into the bar area,” which was irrelevant to my complaint and completely unprofessional. The quality of food across the table was below average. One friend ordered a steak with sauce, yet the sauce did not arrive until he had already finished his meal. I felt sorry for the young girl bringing food to the tables — she appeared to be doing her best in what was clearly a poorly managed situation — but the overall service was unacceptable. When I again explained that I had paid twice for my meal, staff were rude and only offered a refund much later in the evening. By that point, the experience had been completely ruined. My meal eventually arrived an hour and a half after everyone else’s. Given the poor service, mishandling of orders, unprofessional attitude from staff, and substandard food quality, I will not be returning and will be advising others to avoid your establishment.

Just left after yet another great meal. Its our go too every time. Seabass always cooked perfectly and skin crispy just how I like it. Amazing job as always. See you again soon x

I have been to the Donkey and buskins on several occasions and can't praise the whole experience enough. The menu along with the Specials is huge. Friday night was extremely busy and we sat on the patio only spoilt by some very loud people in the garden. I take my hat off to the staff, they were put under pressure but handled everything with professionalism. I consider it a privilege to be able to sit in such beautiful surroundings and enjoy such tasty home cooked food. Thank you
