Superb ANPR charged car parking. One of the only places on the south coast where a dog can be walked in season, Brighton etc ban dogs until the end of Sept plus they are mostly pebbles (urgh) but East head is beautiful sand. After a really great walk along the beach it was onto the superb cafe which has outside seating if you have a dog but we went in as our little one had a snooze in the ventilated car. There is a pay point for parking outside the cafe then the barrier will raise once you get there. The drive to and from the beach is very picturesque, drive slowly and enjoy the views.

The views on the beach are lovely. But the set up is really confusing. The NT run the beach. But the car park is a private company, which charges a flat crazy fee. Wouldn’t class it has a NT place.

Stunning at sunset (Car park closes at 6pm though) We went at the end of the day, at the end of the off-season and almost had the place to ourselves. The sand was so soft and clean. The area felt so natural and unspoilt. Thank you to the National Trust for taking such good care of this beautiful place.

A little nature reserve in the edge of west wittering beach. There are sand dunes with rare sand lizards and some salt marsh areas. There’s a walk around the perimeter with roped off areas to protect the delicate habitat. There’s also a board walk path through the middle. Lots of signs up saying no BBQs.

Went in November and a bit windy, but can imagine it would be great in the summer.
