Spent a weekend here with my wife and daughter… and whilst it wasn’t perfect, it is certainly something g I would recommend. We stayed in the Jumanji room which was great and they had done a great job with the decor and styling… my daughter loved it! The hotel itself was nice and modern, and the view of the wildlife park is a really nice touch, having a beer whilst watching giraffes from a. Distance was brilliant! If you do go, I would certainly recommend the giraffe feeding experience which was really special and something I will never forget. The theme park is good for kids, a great mix of rides and animals pretty unique for sure! The only real drawback is the cost of stuff whilst you’re there.. I get prices have risen everywhere, but some of the prices are an absolute joke! That being said, if you are looking for a fun weekend away, I would deffo go for it… and do t forget the giraffes!

We stayed in the safari hotel for 2 nights, our room itself was nothing special, we went for a family room that had a room for the kids and then our room, although they were not really like separate rooms there were no doors separating or anything so still had to be quiet when they were sleeping (age 1&2). The area with pillows/tigers and big screen my 2 year old loved. The splash swimming pool for kids was also a big hit with both they loved it. Staff really friendly. Breakfast was okay, standard buffet breakfast, lots of choice, cereals, fruits, full English. The entertainment shown as advertised was quite poor in my opinion, especially for my age of children they just wanted to have some music and dance, which is what I was expecting as a disco was advertised, but it was some games like hide and seek, a quiz and then musical statues. This didn’t affect our stay though , and the staff doing this were still really friendly. A massive plus for us was getting let into Chessington 1 hour before the public, this meant the kids got to go on numerous rides, with no queue, multiple times, which there had been queues on the day before. The outside area overlooking the safari animals was really nice. We didn’t eat dinners here due to other reviews so went to some local pubs for food. The paw patrol meet and greets my kids loved even though they are not paw patrol fans. The lifts were super slow so one may we carried the kids in the pushchairs down the stairs. Overall a great stay. We will 100% be back.

As a family we were so looking forward to staying here but was left feeling totally disappointed and ripped off! |Parking outside the hotel was not available due to 'ongoing works' but no signage to state this and people were left trying to figure this out themselves, everyone had a trek to reception. |Booking in was easy and had very pretty surroundings but that's where it ends. Carpeted corridors all looked stained and dirty the room we booked at £200 a night was disappointed, crayon marks all over the desk. Ripped chairs. Stained carpets. Cracked and dirty bathroom sink. Our view was of a bin storage and woken up throughout the night with staff throwing items in them. Not 1 animal in sight!|Kids entertainment was awful, in the pub with no seating area for families. Was a 10 minute disco with musical statues! |Breakfast was great although booking times were difficult, so would recommend booking in as soon as you can.|The early entry had us all so excited and plotting our rides out for the next morning to find out only 1 bigger ride was available, which was delayed up till 9.45! |Would we stay again, no. Is it worth the price, no. My recommendation-stay in the premier inn down the road and buy a fast track ticket for the rides.

Such a gorgeous hotel!! Amazing food and things to do around the hotel! But what made our stay amazing was the staff! We would like to thank Viki, Eleanor, Daniel and Jake for your incredible hospitality. Chatting with you guys was awesome! But ALL staff were amazing ❤️❤️ - Abi and Zenith from Australia 😋

Location was perfect. |Atmosphere was good.|Room was ok, nice size, nice enough decor, but in need of renovation (desk trim loose, bed uncomfortable, not enough plugs, and in silly places.) the view was ruined by the roof below, blocking what would have been a safari view otherwise.|Restaurant: Nice enough food, buffet style with food choice available, but, very over priced! At just shy of £100 for 2 adults and 2 children, they still wanted an extra £5 per person for a paper cup for soft drinks. I declined this saying I would drink tap water, only to realise there was no option for this. I wouldn't eat here again, I would certainly go off site if I visited again! What I will say is the lovely employee names Julie made such an effort to help make breakfast enjoyable, bringing our son birthday pancakes with a candle and singing to him. That was a lovely touch, so if you see this, thankyou Julie!|The theme park- not much available and compared to other theme parks, not much choice of rides. We didn't visit the zoo because it chucked it down our whole visit. So, all in all we had a nice time due to being with friends, but next time we will visit somewhere different together unless Chessington lower their prices any time soon.

Lovely experience. We booked to get early access to the rides. Hotel guests can access the park 1hr earlier. However not all the rides are open 1hr earlier, the reception desk provides a list. We also wanted to use the spa and swimming services which was fine and hour before closing (closed at 8pm) but not too happy about the dirty unisex changing/shower room.

We booked a monkey room with views to see the animals. The room was clean and the wallpaper was fab. We had a partial view of Wanyama, but sadly didn’t see any animals. Though if we did, the photos wouldn’t have come out very well as the windows were so dirty.|The main bed had an uncomfortable creaky old mattress, and there was a noisy fridge that hummed on and off through the night. |Bathroom extractor fan doesn’t turn off so also noisy through the night.|No way to contact reception without walking a long way back to the Safari hotel…the monkey rooms are based in the Azteca hotel which doesn’t have its own reception. |TV didn’t initially work in the bunk bed room, but was fixed quickly by a lovely staff member. Battery covers were missing on both remotes which isn’t good with small kids staying in the room. |No main light, couldn’t see a thing in our suitcase so had to use my phone’s torch.|Having a pool is a great asset but very annoyingly, the Savannah splash pool was closed for our time slot, as not enough staff on duty. |Restaurant has great views. The food was basic but extortionate pricing. Most mains cost £20 but don’t fill you up. |Had ‘do not disturb’ sign on our door but at 9.45am had a staff member knocking to ask when we plan on leaving. We were almost ready to go, for departure at 10am, so not sure why that happened. |All in all not great, as the main reasons to stay over (animals and swimming pool) didn’t happen. £300 for the room plus over £100 for day in the theme park is just not good value.

AVOID THIS HOTEL The place is massively over priced. Arrived at 7pm after a 5 hour drive to be told the restaurant is booking only and there is no availability!! I complained that that's not fair and no hotel I've been to needs customers to book a table.....all of a sudden there was a table available for us!! The restaurant was half empty and never filled up the whole time we were there. No evening entertainment for kids even tho the websites says there is. There was a disco that finished at 7:45pm, hardly evening entertainment. The rooms are on par with Travel Lodge. Very basic for over £600 for two nights!! The rooms don't have hot water. The 2 nights we stayed my 3 young children had to have a cold shower everyday. I complained about this but was told there's nothing they can do and if I want to make a complaint I need to email the company!!!! The park is OK and great fun for the kids......shame they charge £20 for 4 small cokes tho!! UPDATE*** Thought it's only fair to add that there is hot water coming out the shower now at 4pm. Looks like it possibly just a morning issue with so many people showering at the same time.
