Host Denton Holme Student Village

Rachael the host from host in Carlisle is very welcoming and kind. She is very engaging in activities and make us all feel very at home. Will recommend this place to anyone going to university of Cumbria :)

Lovely accommodation and staff are present and available at all times. Henry the care taker is amazing and sorts things out ASAP.

This place is a well kept place, and is always maintained inside and out. Everyone is lovely including the staff here. Alice always makes sure the people are alright and has a chat with people when they pop in, and also sorts out any issue that you tell her about. Rachael makes sure everything is up to standard and easy to talk to. And Henry makes sure everything is running smoothly around the area.

Just wanted to highlight my positive experience while living at Denton Holme Student Village. The rooms are very spacious and you have so much room and freedom, in our situation, we also have our own bathrooms which is a really nice aspect. And I just wanted to give major credit to the people who work at the hub. Alice, Rachel and Henry. All 3 are absolute credits to the student accommodation. Rachel is always more than happy to help out and knows the place inside out if we ever need anything. She also just occasionally drops in to say hi, and as a first year student it really feels warm and welcoming. Henry is so helpful and useful, we sometimes have oven troubles where it turns off and within minutes of telling them, he is there and it is already sorted by the time he gets back. A friend was moving house and he helped them move several heavy items that they had and he is just overall really nice and funny to have a good crack with. Finally, Alice is without a doubt a true credit to this industry. Im aware that she is only temporary staff but she is a face that is always smiling, always willing to chat and is a very good listener to your problems. She isn’t just a receptionist, she’s a friend and as a stranger to the area, she gives us recommendations and things to try and get involved with. And it is sad knowing that she will leave at some point, but i cannot do anything but mention how kind she truly is. So im just writing this mainly as a way to say thank you for making my first year experience so comforting and enjoyable. I always feel safe and comfortable coming forward about issues and they just really make a world of difference.

Great experience, wonderful staff, clean and spacious rooms, lovely experience all around
