Best Buy

I came in here for something specific. The two gentlemen who helped me out, rendered great customer service. I really appreciate that.

My mother got her iPhone 13 battery replaced at the Citrus Heights Best Buy in January 2025. I felt comfortable recommending this option to her because they use Apple parts and her phone was not holding a charge. The store installed a new battery for her and, after multiple delays, returned her phone to her with a broken volume rocker. I spoke to the manager twice and we also spoke and brought it to Apple. If we had gotten the repair done at the Apple store they would have taken care of us and stood behind their repair. But the best buy store would not and they said they didn't do it. Apple said there's no way my mother could have damaged a volume rocker button by herself. I would NOT recommend ever getting an apple repair at Best buy for this reason they do not help if they damage your phone. $89 gone and a less than functional phone. Edit: I dm'd them per their request and they told me the same thing I was told in January/February after Best Buy broke my phone ... there was nothing they could do about their negligence. I wholly encourage anyone who has an Apple iPhone to go directly to an Apple Store and AVOID going to this or any Best Buy for a repair. They do not have your back.

Would have been 1 star if a second employee didnt engage to ask questions. Maybe my work clothes looked suspicious. But he found for me what the first employee said wasn't in stock. Thank you for putting in effort for looking out for the stores merch and cross checking facts on if what I needed was fitting. Didn't catch his name but double pierced lip guy lol.

My laptop suddenly lost power while it was plugged in. I have the BB Total membership, but couldn't utilize it for this laptop because I didn't purchase it from BB. After looking online for solutions, I decided to take it to Best Buy for repair anyway. I called and did some troubleshooting with a tech over the phone who said that I would need to take it in because they could not help me repair it over the phone. I set an appointment, and when I went in I was told by the tech at the desk that they couldn't help me with my laptop. He said that I would have to pay $80 to ship it out, and then whatever costs that it would take to fix it plus shipping. Additionally, he said that it could be 2 to 3 weeks before I would get it back. I decided to leave and think about if I wanted to do that, just buy a new one, or see if there were any other places nearby that could fix it. In the meantime, I also decided to get back online to see if there was a fix. And I found it. And I do not understand why the tech on the phone could not tell me how to do this, or the tech at the store. It was so simple I couldn't believe it. Seriously! So I am pretty disappointed with this place right now, and considering whether or not I want to renew my membership.

I have found Best Buy to have great customer service and products. You may find Costco a bit cheaper but their service and convenience makes up for the small difference in price. Staff is knowledgeable on all the products in their area. I recommend

Sold me an open box tv and soundbar. The tv was faulty immediately after the return policy ended. And now after 6 months of constant issues it just died. I’m not sure why they sold something that clearly had issues from the start. I knew it was an open box but the expectation is that you’ll receive a functional item. I now have a huge paperweight. The sound bar was also missing its remote. Turns out that the remote is necessary for pairing the soundbar to the tv. So without I’m stuck with a useless item. Thankfully the folsom location had the same item, for less, and in better condition. This whole store seemed run down and less organized than other locations. I won’t be coming here or any other locations if the products are just going to break less than a year after purchase.
