Home to the 48th fighter wing. You know loud jets and stuff....parking is ok if you get there early. Lots of space to watch...but remember this is an operational airbase not an airshow. There is no schedule. You come, you wait, you watch some take off and you have tea because they'll be away for a while and they come back to land or do a flypast if you're lucky. There are no toilets, but bins are provided and a burger van shows up usually.

Lakenheath viewing area is free but has limited parking however it is free parking, you need to get there early so get yourselves a spot, best days are monday to Thursday from 8am onwards. Fridays are quick climb morning and people often get there from 7am but they stop around midday as they only do half days on Friday. You can see a variety of jets and planes.

Fantastic place to see the Jets land and take off. It's free to park, and great for kids (Big and Small) to see and feel the roar of fighter jets taking off and landing. This is just a viewing place though no toilets or cafe, so be sure to visit a local town/supermarket use the facilities and get yourself a car picnic. You will spend more time there than you thought you would.

Great place if you like watching fast jets. RAF Lakenheath is home to USAF F15 Eagles and F35 Lightning II fighters. There is a burger van but no toilets so you have to travel a short journey for those.

Brilliant location to see jets taking off and landing. For spotters I recommend at least a 70-200mm lens ideally 100-400
