Haven Marton Mere Holiday Village

Had a great family holiday using Marton Mere as a base to explore Blackpool. We paid for the play pass as wanted to use the swimming pool and stayed in a Silver caravan. We were quite far away from the central complex which suited us and it was very quiet. The app is great and gave all the information we needed before and during the stay. Our caravan was lovely and the fire easy to use and heated the caravan perfectly when needed. We went swimming and the kids loved it, we booked our slots on the app before arriving. My only wish was the pool slots were better monitored as it was incredibly busy each time, more a pick a spot to splash in than actual swimming. My kids loved it though and the flume is a great option. We didn't use any of the other actitivites as these are paid for separately, it would be good if crazy golf was included with your play pass like swimming. The playpark was good.

We visited Marton Mere recently for the first time and really liked the site. Our caravan was a very high standard, spacious and comfortable. The site amenities were more than adequate for our needs, although some fresh vegetables in the shop would be appreciated. We found the club enjoyable and liked the arcade. However we thought there should be more play parks throughout this very large site. Overall a great few days break away and our compliments go out to all of the staff we met, who were courteous, helpful and pleasant. Thanks for a wonderful time xx

Our holiday experience was delightful, and the caravan was impeccably clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment🎶🎉, particularly the show and bingo😁. The receptionists was fantastic they welcome us with a great smile✨️😍 and efficient service. We intend to return, as the staff provided exceptional service😍, with the exception of a few individuals in the arcade who could benefit from improving their customer-facing demeanor, specifically their body language and willingness to smile. It's good overall, but I wouldn't like to visit during kids holidays as I feel like the site facilities are not big enough to handle a busy site. The kids entertainment was good but delayed some nights leaving a lot of kids needing to be quiet for bingo which wasn't a fun experience for anyone with a toddler. The saver caravan was nice and clean but 2 pillows were missing pillow cases, the lock didn't work properly on the door meaning it took a good 5/10 minutes just to get in or out. The bathroom had quiet and odour even though it looked clean and a lot of stains on the sofa cushions. But overall we had a good time, spent most time off site as not a great deal to keep a toddler busy.

Got back yesterday from here yesterday yet again a lovely week been going for a few years now ☺️ this was our 3rd trip this year ! Always have no problem with our trips however! Not keen this time on our location of our silver van on mere view however we understand this is our preference not everyone's taste,had a problem within the caravan to which we reported to a lady on reception who didn't seem interested # however!! Our Knight in shining armour the lovely Shane!! Who deserves a massive thanks for helping us x who resolved the issue again thanks Shane 😊 no other problems always enjoy our stay,we will next time choose where we want to stay in think,the bus trip through lights was a good idea too 😀 see you next time guys

Great caravan park. We have stayed a few time and used as a base to go in to Blackpool. We recently stayed in a saver caravan and it was of great quality with central heating and parking beside the caravan. The on site shop has all the necessities and Costa coffee machine. You have access to the restaurants, takeaway and amusement arcade even if you don’t take the passes. My only problem at all is the junction and right turn outside the caravan park is a busy blind junction that makes it very hard to get out of, be aware.

Stayed for weekend in October. Arrived just after 4 . Got to caravan balmoral 13 and omg the cleaners clearly did not care. Floor was filthy everywhere you looked and not even hoovered properly. Oven hadn't even been opened grill and tray filthy. Dirty pots . Fridge dirty . Micro dirty. Toaster full of crumbs . Beds made shocking. Dirty sofa and curtains . The caravan was also run down and needed to be offline . |We complained and got moved and yet still wasn't right it was a lot better condition and well kept but they still had missed things. Previous guest biscuits and cleaning products in cupboards and microwave not cleaned yet again. We had our 6 year old and 2 year old with us who were hungry so we stayed . But reported to reception about motion detector beeping got told someone will come. By next morning no one came had to ring and ask again. ||The boathouse advertises Sunday lunch from 12 but be careful as it stops at 2/3pm which doesn't say anywhere. ||The good points - papa John's spot on . Shop well stocked. ||Stayed at other havens and this is worse and won't return.

Enjoyed a short break however. The caravan wasn't perfect some outdoor lights didn't work around the van obviously ideal at night time. Some left over rubbish found from last occupants. Obviously the cleaning prior to staying isn't very thorough. Would recommend you read thoroughly when booking to make sure what's included and not example toilet roll bin bags. Although was an ok stay for the price. Would still recommend staff pleasant.
