The Residence Coworking Bishops Stortford

I am so grateful to have found The Residence Coworking. It is more than just hot desks and free coffee.. it is community, purpose, and inspiration. Having rented office space for 12 years I suddenly found myself working on my own - the central base of operations for my now remote team. We were able to offer this flexibility before COVID - but it became a permanent and highly valued benefit to our staff afterward. But what this meant for me as a business owner was a lonely workplace, a loss of connection and paying rent for an often empty office. The work-life balance for my staff was way more important to me as it was a core value of my business. So I started to look for other options. Thanks to my colleague who was having lunch nearby - I booked in a visit with Karen Tait and almost 3 years later I have not looked back. I have a dedicated desk, beautiful countryside views, a place for my clients and colleagues (don't forget their dogs) to pop in with free parking and lovely meeting spaces. I get a welcome hello in the mornings, the support of like minded business owners, amazing networking opportunities - and I have Co-Workers. Best business decision I have made in a long time!

Wow! On a visit in Bishops Stortford from San Francisco, CA and needed a solid work space for focus, but also enjoy community. Google searched "coworking space Bishops Stortford" and found this gem! Booking online was easy. I walked from the city center to this lovely place and was just wow'd from the exterior to then being greeted by Karen, who is absolutely lovely. I chose a desk by the window and delighted in the coffee and cake! Space was quiet enough, but also had enough energy to keep productive flow. The whole Residence co-working space is so welcoming! I would absolutely co-work here again!

The Residence Coworking is an amazing workspace, it's a real treat to go there, you get to meet talented people, hang out with Mabel (such a cute dog) and make the most of the space. I look forward to get a desk there in a near futur! Finally thank you Karen for creating a place like this in Bishops Stortford.

An amazing working environment set in a relaxing and spacious setting. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. A very special Coworking space (with many available options) working alongside other friendly and supportive professionals who can also enhance your network. Karen has created a very special community that has everything one could wish for! She has been credibly supportive to me and I love the variety of flexible packages to suit everyone’s needs, and who doesn't love the free cake! By far the best co-working environment I’ve ever been to! And no stress to park as they have plenty of space which was a headache when I was in town prior to joining The Residence Coworking! So glad this place exists! 😊

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We have been using The Residence co-working space for a while, and our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The environment is vibrant and beneficial to productivity, providing a perfect blend of comfort and professionalism. The facilities are superb, with well equipped meeting rooms, high speed internet, and cozy work areas. Karen and Laura are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any needs or queries we had. Networking opportunities with other businesses in the space have greatly assisted in our company’s growth and connections. Although we are excited to have secured our own office space, we will truly miss the collaborative atmosphere and the fantastic community at The Residence. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stimulating and supportive work environment! Thank you, The Residence, for everything!

Huge thanks for providing such a fantastic space for my workshop! The venue is not only beautiful and well-equipped, but the attention to detail makes all the difference—great coffee, a welcoming atmosphere, and a team that truly cares. A special shoutout to Laura, who went above and beyond—from helping me organise and promote the event to ensuring everything ran smoothly on the day. My participants felt taken care of, and the room was perfectly set up for a productive and engaging session. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a warm and well-run workshop space!

I couldn’t have asked for a better environment to launch our business. We absolutely love working at The Residence – being surrounded by a likeminded community makes all the difference.

I used The Residence conference room for a workshop recently and the experience was fantastic. Super easy to book through their app or via email and it's easy to change the date if needed. On the day, Laura made sure everything was ready for me and took care to make sure my laptop was connected to the screen. Tea and coffee, plates etc were provided and I they would have organised catering if needed. The environment is beautiful and very professional looking, while being friendly and comfortable. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming too!! I would recommend this co-working space to anyone needing either a desk for the day or a space for meetings and workshops.
