Nice medium size hall BUT management is a huge disaster!!! If you want a smooth booking- avoid at all costs, if you have to deal with Shirley! I will never book again all because of SHIRLEY!!! Horrible customer service, I don’t know who she thinks she is but, the way she talks to people is not acceptable!! Long story short: We booked this hall for my MIL’s surprise birthday party. She is in her 90s, we were told we are ok to come and set up 30mins prior to our booking time. When I got there, there was nobody there. When I called, SHIRLEY was extremely rude and made it sound like I was lying that I had a booking and hanged up on me several times. I haven’t met anybody like that in my life, she has no manners at all. I don’t know who hired this woman , as her customer service skills do not exist at all! Anyway, party was delayed and MIL had to sit and wait in the car 30mins. When party finished, we hired a cleaner to clean up. She did an amazing job. SHIRLEY came out to check the place- which is absolutely fine, the she informed us that we are not getting our deposit back, because tables were not in the exactly same place 🫠🫠 Which we moved straight away, as they were stacked on the rack. She ruined our mood completely that day!!

The hall itself is a good size for small parties or gatherings also has good facilities such as decent parking. However, the admin at the time was very rude to me and my guests during my event even though we followed all policies. Due to this reason I will not recommend booking this venue to anyone and certainly will never book for anything at this hall again. It is a shame that good venues tend to be let down by some horrible staff.

The initial enquiry for booking was quick and easy. However, during the viewing manager/admin was unprofessional and not very friendly at all. I did not have a copy of the terms and policies given to take with me. On the day of my event, the manager/admin was very rude and treated me and my guests very poorly and raised her voice at us like we were school children. It is really sad that towards the end of the event the day was ruined with such horrible service from her. Although the hall is a good size with good facilities. Unfortunately I will not recommend it to anyone and I will never book again mainly because of how unprofessional the manager/admin was.

Scot hall is a great community hall run by the church for the community. At present mostly community but the church us always there in the background. You should visit the church too. St Michael's always has a welcome.

Very poor venue, the heating does not work, there is no hot water and the hand dryers do not work and there is no paper to dry your hands. The acoustics are very poor. The caretaker is unhelpful, inflexible, and unresponsive.

There's always plenty going on here from toddler groups to weightwatchers and regular food banks. Easy to hire if you need a venue for your event/party.
