I hired WordHerd to migrate my site from Divi, to have all content rebuilt in Gutenberg blocks. It was quoted as a 2-week job but it dragged on for almost 4 months. I was told the work was “complete” and had to pay in full before seeing it, only to find my key pages untouched, posts still full of Divi code, and all content left in the Classic Editor, leaving me to change it all into blocks myself. WordHerd offered only a 10% refund, claiming “90% complete” based on post count, not actual work delivered. I would not recommend them.

We have worked with WordHerd since the fall of 2018. From the beginning - Kris, Justin, and the rest of the team have been nothing short of helpful along the way for us. Our company, White Properties, is a multifaceted business that offers self-storage, property management, document destruction, record storage, and signage services based out of Winchester, VA. We initially contracted WordHerd to perform a migration of our main company website from a Drupal platform to WordPress. We were provided with a detailed quote including a milestone schedule for every step of the way. WordHerd didn’t just deliver but managed to come out ahead of schedule with no disruptions to our website at any point in time. We most recently used WordHerd for the migration of another website we own (Signs & Designs) and again had an excellent experience. We appreciate their continued support in managing our hosting, maintenance, and security updates as well. WordHerd gets our highest recommendation!

Both projects were completed and launched successfully with outstanding support every step of the way. We were introduced to WordHerd almost 10 years ago to help us migrate from HubSpot to WordPress. It was a seamless transition and they continue to manage our website maintenance and security throughout the following years flawlessly (including an additional migration). Our experience with Wordherd was disappointing due to several missed milestones and poor communication. The agreed-upon schedule was not followed, and while we understand that delays can happen, we expected clear communication, which we did not receive. Despite our weekly follow-ups, we were not informed of delays until the last minute. It was us who were constantly pushing for updates, despite having paid for the service upfront. They delayed a project that should have taken only one month by four months. This caused several internal issues in our company and compromised our business goals. Due to this experience, we will not be working with them on other migrations as originally planned. This experience has caused us considerable frustration and a loss of trust in their services. We definitely won't recommend them to any other startups in our network.

WordHerd did an amazing job with our CMS migration to Wordpress. They over-delivered on our expectations and handled the process end to end, on time, and on budget. The team is fantastic to work with. They had the experience and depth of knowledge to handle our large scale project, which was built on an out of date, clunky CMS. And they migrated it to Wordpress without any issues. Their communication was excellent. Their documentation was excellent. Their work was excellent. We have benefited greatly from the success of this project WordHerd handled, and I'm very grateful for that. I would highly recommend WordHerd for any development project.
